Outcomes of the European Expert Meeting, 17th - 19th of March 2010
The meeting in short
More then 60 youth workers, youth researchers and youth policy makers from various European countries gathered 3 days in Rotterdam in March 2010.
- They shared knowledge, tools and assets for youth workers to further strengthen their position at local, national and European level.
- Influencing policy makers, positioning and sharing practices in methods were the meeting grounds.
- An active contribution was made by the European Commission and the Partnership between the Council of Europe and the European Commission in the field of youth.
- Key messages are formulated towards the Ghent Youth Work Convention that will take place within the framework of the Belgian Presidency of the European Union (July 2010)
The Netherlands Youth Institute organized this meeting in March 2010 in Rotterdam together with the Stichting JONG Rotterdam. In international preparatory team including the Ghent Youth Work Convention organizers prepared the focus for the meeting.
